Welcome to Hope Beach
Where the sea breeze is fresh, sun sparkles on sand . . . and trouble appears with the force of a hurricane.
Inheriting a beautiful old hotel on the seaward shore of Hope Island could be a dream come true for Libby. The inn cries out for her restorer’s talent and love of history. She’s delighted to learn of family she never knew she had. And the handsome Coast Guard lieutenant she’s met there on the island could definitely be the man of her dreams.
But Libby soon realizes that only way she can afford the upkeep on the inn is to sell it to developers who are stalking the island. The father who willed her the inn has died before she could meet him, and her newfound brothers and sisters are convinced she’s there to steal their birthright. Worst of all, her best friend and business partner has been kidnapped before her eyes, Libby’s under suspicion for the crime, and her handsome lieutenant clearly doubts her innocence.
Libby’s dream-come-true is becoming a nightmare. Can she find her friend and establish her innocence? Must she sell Tidewater Inn and lose her family again? Or can she find a home for her heart on the beautiful shores of Hope Island?

I loved Tidewater Inn. I liked how you brought in an old character Bree and Samson. That was great.
I thought you all would enjoy catching up with Bree!
Colleen
I have read many of your books.
I lived in the Tidewater area of VA for a time when my husband was in the US Navy.
It was great to read a novel about the area.
So far I have read 18 of your books and enjoyed them all. Keep them coming.
I’m so glad you loved it, Diane! And lucky you to live out there.
Thanks for being such a devoted reader!
Colleen, I’ve so enjoyed reading your books! You have such a beautiful way of creating real people in each of your characters. When I saw the Matthews family come for a vacation at the Inn, I was as delighted as if I were seeing a surprise visit from old friends! I’ve taken all your books as I read them to work for the employee library, and yesterday I noticed that every one is out being read at the moment! I’m so happy to introduce you to my co-workers this way!
That is SO cool you’re doing that, Friend! Thanks so much!
Wow I love your books and look forward to reading this one, my parent’s don’t have the money right now, but I am absolutely amazed at how beautiful the cover art is, I could stare at it for hours. I definitely look forward to reading this for the future, it’s at the top of my Christmas list
Get it from the library, Kelsey! If your library doesn’t have it, they can get it on interlibrary loan.
I love the cover too!
Is Tidewater Inn part of a series?
yes, Clarice, it’s the first in my new Hope Beach series.
I am a new fan to your books. I saw you as a recommendation from Dee Henderson and have only recently started reading your books. What books are the characters Bree and Samson from? I would like to read those books as well.
I’m so glad you liked what you’ve read. The Rock Harbor books are about Bree. Without a Trace, Beyond a Doubt, Into the Deep, Abomination, Cry in the Night, and Silent Night.
Colleen,
For the first time reading your books, around Christmas time, i finished the rock harbor series in just over a week. I absolutely love Bree and the gang. Last night i stumbled over Silent Night and finished it rather fast. I couldn’t put it down. I was wondering if Abomination is actually part of the rock harbor series? I didn’t read that one and i hope i didn’t miss something. Are there any other books with Bree and the gang? And if so, what order should i read them?
So glad you loved them, Jenn! yes Abomination comes after Cry in the Night. I think you’ll like it! Bree and the gang show up in Distant Echoes and also in Tidewater Inn.
Oops. So i missed it. I’ll have to go back and read it. Then does it matter if i read Distant Echoes or Tidewater Inn next?
No not at all.
Great! Will there be more to Bree’s story after Silent Night? I hate to see it end. I’m ready for more!
I don’t believe I’ll ever be done with Bree. LOL She plays a huge role in Tidewater Inn. There is a new book out in a couple of weeks called Rock Harbor Search and Rescue. Emily, the girl lost in the woods in Without a Trace, is 14 now and gets a puppy to train. She gets embrolled in a mystery and Bree helps out.
Awesome! I cant wait!
I was so excited about Tidewater Inn, I blogged about it on sleuthsandsuspects blogspot.com.
Great story. I can’t wait to read more in the Hope Beach series.
I’m so glad, Jackie! Thanks for getting the word out.
Glad you found it!
