The Journey of the Heart Series were the first books written by Colleen Coble.
Writing those books was part of the grieving process after she lost her brother Randy in a freak lightning accident. With a fresh edit and some changes, each installment of the Journey of the Heart will draw you in with mystery and romance.
Each new installment will release around the 10th of every month with the finale out in August. You should be able to find the books everywhere, including Sam’s Club and Walmart.
I read this story and others in the series as part of your book, Wyoming (which I’ve kept a part of my personal library!). There are some differences between a Heart’s Disguise and the first section of Wyoming, but I still enjoyed reading it. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series. However, from reading the synopses of the last book in the series, the story about the guy who marries a woman he’s never met seems not to be included.
I cannot tell you how much I LOVE your books!!! I don’t watch much TV any longer, as I would rather read your books! I even get my work done in the evenings after working all day, just so I can read your books while “watching TV” with my husband, then I head to bed early, to read some more. LOL. I am so hooked! You are one of my FAVORITE authors! I love the old westerns best, though. So please keep them coming!
Several years ago I stumbled upon your book Anethema at a sale, thought I will read it and see what I think of this author. I was hooked before the first chapter ended and I have read about everything you have written. I cheer every time I see you have a new book out. Just finished The Inn at Ocean’s Edge….loved it. Your books always keep me guessing and give me great insights to challenge my own spiritual growth. Thank you and keep writing!!!
Thank you for such a treasure trove of books that grab me from the very first sentence! You have such wonderful characters and plots that keep me riveted until the very end! You have become my favorite author since first picking up your Alaska series in 2010 and moving on to the Aloha series just before we went to Hawaii on vacation! I continue to look for new and old that I have not read of your books and am delighted that you continue to turn out such quality material that has such great values throughout!
like your series journey of the heart but am very disappoint ed in the fact each book is so short only 90 some pages was expecting it to be full lenght books could have put them all in one book. i have more of your books full lenght and enjoyed them
i like your series journey of the heart am very disappointed that they are only 90 some pages they could have been all one book i have some of your novels and like them they are full lenght books would hesitate to buy more and find them so short
The last of these is out, and all the rest of my books will be full length novels. These were an experiment. 🙂
Will you add more to this series? We seem to have been left at a cliff hanger not knowing what Jessica will do, will Emmi and Issac marry, and what about Ben?
I listened to the series on audio. I too was “put off” with the shortness of each when it could have been put into one book. It seems like a marketing ploy to make more money.
It was especially frustrating having to wait to find out what happened. Not only did I have to wait until the next installment; I had to wait for other library patrons to get it back on the shelf. I loved the story, but am disappointed that it seems unfinished. The reader is still left hanging. Is she forced to keep the deathbed promise? How will Isaac react when he learns her secret……….?????????? I finished all six segments.
Billie, you must not have listened the 6th episode, A Heart’s Home. It ties up the rest of the story and finishes it all out. You are not left hanging, I promise!
I’m confused and would like clarification. I bought the edition that has all six parts in it and just started reading when I realized I read it before. Are all 6 parts novels I already read of yours so is it different?
Or is it different?*
Hi Kirsten! It’s a rewrite of 2 very old books of mine (nearly 20 years old actually) with some new scenes and some old ones.
Thank you for clearing that up!
I like Billie Grymes who wrote to you on Oct. 26, 2015, am frustrated that Heart’s Betrayal was left hanging. I have checked my library but have only found the first 3 books and this 4th one. I don’t know if my library will purchase anymore. I am so disappointed that it couldn’t have been made into 2 full length books.
I have read just about every book you have written and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I just finished The Inn at Ocean’s Edge and it was over the top. I’m fixing to read Mermaid’s Moon and I’m sure it will be just as good. You are an author that has my attention quickly.
I’m so glad you loved it, Judy!
I love, love, love your books, Colleen. I also am disappointed in the negative comments on here. I realize that people should be able to give feedback, even the not so positive stuff, but I guess people don’t have to purchase them if they want a longer book. Anyway, you are an amazing author. I love every book that you have written, and I’ve got a ways to go before I finish all your books, but I eventually intend to get to all of them. Thanks for giving us good , positive reading.. Debbie
Thank you, Debbie!

I discovered your books in one of our local
hospitals, of all places! My husband recently had open heart surgery & goes there for rehab. While waiting for him, I noticed a small Iibrary of books. I chose your books precisely because they were short & I knew I could finish each in one or two reads. I have not been disappointed. Your writing “grabbed” me immediately.
Thank you for writing the series, “Journey of the Heart”; these are NOT the only books of your’s I will read.
I’m so glad you liked it, Wanda. Thanks so much for your note!
What 2 books are these rewrites of? I have most of your books.. would I possibly have the originals?
Where Leads the Heart and Plains of Promise. They are very old!
Colleen, I believe I’ve read all your books and Love Journey of the Heart series.
Then happened upon “The Heart Answers”. I was so glad to find this and follow Jessica’s story. I assume this is the last in the series.
Hope you haven’t run out of stories, look forward to your next reading,
Hello Colleen ,I am a little confused about the Wyoming series and the Journey of the heart series the same time ? Could you clearify this for me please ..I love your books and now am on the hunt for the second Smitten book.
The Journey of the Heart books are based on the Wyoming books with some changes.
